Jio, a digital arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has played a significant role in India’s journey towards digitalization.
It has also become a leading player in India’s telecom sector, mainly because of its extremely low priced prepaid and post-paid calling plans and big internet data packs.
Because of such attractive benefits, good quality voice calling, and high-speed internet compared to its rivals, the company has around 400 million subscribers with a market share of roughly 33%, followed by other major players such as Airtel and Vodafone Idea.

During the launch of Jio, the company provided its users with free calls and internet data plans for at least 6 months, thereby developing its consumer base.
Furthermore, after the expiry of free services, Jio had launched various economic plans as per daily data usages, which currently ranges from as low as Rs. 199 has a validity of a month to as high as Rs. 2599 which comes with the validity of 365 days.
During the recently concluded 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of RIL, the organization aims to achieve the feat of half a billion Jio sim card users in the next 3 years.
With the rising usage of the internet on smartphones both in semi-urban and rural areas, the number of Jio users will rise continuously in the coming years.
Now, if you have recently transferred from another network provider to Jio or just bought a new Jio sim card and don’t know how to check Jio balance, tariff plan, and validity, then you should follow the below guidelines.
