Developed by Airtel itself, the Wynk Music app is the latest addition to popular music applications for users worldwide. 

Airtel Caller Tune

Airtel’s Wynk Music offers a versatile music library to its customers, consisting of over 40 million songs and a benefit to change their ‘Caller Tunes’ or ‘Hello Tunes’ for an unlimited number of times. Customers can set the ringtone based on their current mood, time of the day or anything else.

On June 24th, 2019, Bharti Airtel announced a new addition to its growing range of exciting benefits available under its renewed #AirtelThanks program. It gives both Prepaid and Postpaid mobile customers a right to set their favorite songs as ringback tones for free, using its Wynk Music application. 

By removing the monthly subscription fee of Rs.36 on the Wynk Music app, Airtel made all the 40 million songs in the Wynk’s music library available for free only to its eligible customers. These can be set as a Caller tune. Bharti Airtel also made it clear that the eligible customers who can avail this exclusive benefit for free shall be those who are either on postpaid plans of Rs. 129 and above or on prepaid bundles.

To set their favorite songs as the Free Hello Tunes, the eligible Airtel customers just have to download the updated version of the Wynk Music app on their smartphones, which is available for Android and iOS.

After downloading the latest Wynk Music application, customers should open it and click on the Caller Tunes or Hello Tunes icon to set their favorite songs as the Caller Tune successfully.

Eligible Airtel customers have been bestowed upon with a right to set and change their Caller Tune an unlimited number of times from the Hellotune Management Screen. To continue their free Hello Tune services, the customers have to renew their free Caller Tune subscription every 30 days through their Wynk Music app.

The music in the extensive Wynk Music library offers refreshing and trending music in 12 segregated genres and 15 different languages, viz., Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Punjabi, Kannada, Marathi, Haryanvi, Gujarati, Oriya, Rajasthani, Assamese, Telugu, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, and English.

Steps that Eligible Airtel Mobile Customers have to follow to set their Favorite Songs as Free Caller Tunes using the Wynk Music App

    If you already have the Wynk Music app installed on your smartphone, update the same to get the latest version of the app, or in case you are the first-time user, then download the latest version of the Wynk Music, available both on iOS and Android software.

    Once the Wynk Music app is successfully installed, launch or open it and click on the icon that reads “Hello Tunes” which is on the top right corner of the Wynk Music app.

    Find your favorite songs using the search bar option and select the same as your Caller Tune or Hello Tune.

    Another way by which eligible customers can set their favorite songs as their Hello Tune is by playing the song in the Wynk Music app and at the same time click on the dedicated “Hello Tunes” icon available on the music player to set that particular song as their Caller Tune.

    To continue enjoying this subscription-free Hello Tunes service, eligible Airtel mobile customers have to keep on confirming their Hello Tunes on the Wynk Music app every 30 days.

How To Set Free Caller Tune On Airtel 

Apart from the Wynk Music app, Airtel allows all its mobile customers (Both prepaid and postpaid) to set their favorite songs as Caller Tune and greet their callers with their chosen song. This second method of activating Airtel Caller Tune for free is through SMS and Call. 

The new offer by the company has three tiers - Gold, Silver and Platinum levels. Every level packs in a lot of advantages for the client of the company. These are powered by Airtel’s partnerships with other content brands like  Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Zee5 to device brands , Wynk music, etc.

Steps to set Airtel Caller Tune for Free via SMS and Call Option:

    Type “SET<space><song code>” on your phone’s default messaging app that has an Airtel connection. In order to learn about all the song codes, open Airtel’s official website, i.e. in your web browser, and get all required song codes.

    If Airtel customers’ wish to set their favorite songs as their Caller Tune via call, they need to dial 543211 from their Airtel number and follow the steps as spoken by the IVR.

In case, if the customers want to deactivate Airtel’s Caller Tune services, they can do so, by following any one of the methods:

  • Call on the toll-free number – 543211808
  • Through SMS – Type “STOP” AND SEND IT TO 543211
  • Dial a toll-free number – *678# and deactivate through the “Manage your profile” option.

The third method of subscribing to Airtel’s Hello Tune services is a paid subscription where the customers need to activate hello tunes. Airtel has put up three different modes of purchasing a Caller Tune, which are USSD, IVR, and SMS.

How to Activate/Subscribe to Airtel’s Paid Caller Tune Service?

When an Airtel mobile customer chooses to activate Hello Tunes through the USSD method, he needs to: 

  • Dial *791# to select his preferred option on the menu.  
  • Dial *791*aliascode# for direct dial download. Here, “alias code” means the song code. For example, *791*23# 

When an Airtel mobile customer chooses to activate Hello Tunes using the IVR method, he needs to:     

  • Dial 791 to listen to the sample caller tunes, and then follow the voice prompt to browse through the available tunes and to select his preferred tune.

When an Airtel mobile customer chooses to activate Hello Tunes using the IVR method, he needs to:

  • To subscribe to the Caller Tune via SMS, Airtel mobile customers just have to send a Tune or Song Code to 791 via an SMS.

Charges for the Paid Subscription of Airtel Hello Tunes:

  • Subscription – N100 per month that has a validity of 30 days.
  • Song or Tune Download Cost – Rs. 50 per month.
  • Call Charges to 791 – N15 per minute.
